Shear Nuts provide a permanent fastening that is very hard to remove once installed. Shear Nuts are driven with a socket or spanner. The hexagonal part shears off at a pre-determined torque, leaving a tamper proof head with no recess. Shear Nuts are therefore an ideal security nut.
